Volumetric Vessels
“Patchworking Big Sky Cast-Offs” Solo Exhibition, Aunt Dofe’s Gallery in Willow Creek, Montana

fired and unfired porcelain paper clay, handmade paper, organic material

Based on composite layers of time dynamics, layers of history and region, layers of my scraps and studio time care, “Patchworking Big Sky Cast-Offs”, is an exhibition of volumetric vessels and quilts.

This is an installation of volumetric human-scale paper and clay vessels utilizing and remaking with Montana domestic castoffs from blue jeans, flannel shirts, to table linens. This theme of composite layers of time dynamics can be found in my installations Yellowstone Art Museum, Tranquil Bloom Sedalia, Northern Clay Center, and Montefiore.
