Based on complexity of outer structure with ecosystem within, this 6 piece installation was inspired by the woven Tent Caterpillar nests and the delicacy of lace. A multilayer weave connecting to the historical decorative tin ceiling, clay pillars under the central support limb provided tension and deliberate connection to architecture. This theme of complexity of outer structure with ecosystem within can be found in my installations Allegheny and Woven White.
