Patterns of Nature Canton Museum of Art in Canton, Ohio fired and unfired porcelain paper clay, handmade paper, organic material 25′ x 15′ x 18′ Based on prolific abundance of growth, the frame disappears due to so much growth, Patterns of Nature is an installation inspired by historical botanical motifs found in domestic crafted items such as Persian rugs and Damask linen. All handmade paper florets are made from up-cycling used clothing and combined with thousands of delicate porcelain pieces.
