Night Bloom
Racine Art Museum, Racine Wisconsin

fired and unfired porcelain paper clay, handmade paper, organic material

Night Bloom is based on compromised resources, dark of night – lack of light. This site installation is composed of multiple hanging components conceptually centered on prolific night blooming activity. Of particular interest is the innate awareness of growing forms in close proximity to other forms allowing the special accommodation needed for thrivability. This theme of compromised resources can be found in my installations Re-Generation, Perlman Installation, Midnight Bloom, Prairie Deep, and Vine Installation.
