University of Washington Installation
CMA North Gallery, University of Washington in Seattle, Washington

local organic materials (including loosestrife), industrial castoffs, porcelain paper clay, organic materials
18′ x 18′ x 35′

This installation using adobe incorporated an invasive plant (loostrife) harvested near the exhibition site. In collaboration with the horticultural site at the University of Washington, this plant was culled from the edge of a university pond and incorporated as building material. The 35 foot ceiling with open rafters was phenomenal for an emphasis on a miraculous connection. This theme of growth structure making strong connection to architecture of place can be found in my installations Myrna Loy Installation, Missoula Museum Installation, Woven White, Edge Gallery Installation, Allegheny College Installation, and SAC Installation.
